    Watching a movie

Sarah Michelle Gellar in the Grudge.

Today My wife, sister-in-law, and I went to watch a movie, The Grudge. This is a Japanese movie remake. I just want to see how scary this movie is to the American people. I give this movie a rate of C. If people ask me how the story goes, I just can say this movie is a combination of Ringu and Disney's "the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror" ride. Adding some flavors to make it more exciting like stalking and jealousy.

That's how this movie is. After I saw Ringu, I don't feel scared of movies like these anymore. The movie's pattern is same as Ringu.

    Nanako Matsushima in Ringu

Then that same scary pattern is just a lot in this movie like "the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror" This ride does up and down, you freefall a lot in one ride.

Plus.. How this story started? One crazy wife is stalking and fell in love with another guy and her husband found out about it. So he reacted to it out of rage and so a curse was born in the house they lived in.

So I think people here watch this movie, they will feel really scared because they aren't used to these kind of scary movies. But... in Japan, when we watch this movie... ???? question mark... This is just regular matter. We watch this kind of things from pictures, comic books, TV shows, TV dramas, and movie since childhood. So I know it's still a scary movie but nothing better than Ringu. Therefore I evaluate this movie C.

But I still recommend you watch this movie because it's still a pretty good scare and from the reaction of the other viewers in the theater, it was a fun ride after all.
