Less Stress Day Part 3

2. la fuerza del destino : Fey

I knew This CD was released in December. However, since I didn't have a chance to buy and don't have money, I was waiting for a chance and for my allowance to be available for spending.

When I got interested in the Latin music world, Fey is one of first one that I got caught into. That time, her song ranked between 11 and 20. But her voice is incredible. Very clear and rangy. So I really wanted to hear her other songs that time. I bought her CD "Vertigo" immediately.

This album is like upbeat and club-taste music. I really liked it. I was wondering how the music was in her new album. I listened to this CD to get some inspiration. If songs didn't give me any impression w/i 1 second, I skip to next song. That's my way to listen music. So many of her songs still caught me. Songs in her new album were less upbeat and slower songs. But her voice is still a good fit for these songs. I like it. I can give 5 stars for this CD.

Less Stress Day Part 2

So today is good. A little peaceful day.

My wife needs to go to the dentist this morning. So I drop her off at the dentist's building and then I went to Tower Records across the street.

Finally I got free time. Even if it's short time, it's good for me. I've planned to buy from Tower Records before but I just didn't have a chance to go. 2 CDS.

1. Creamfields : Paul Oakenfold

and, as I mentioned in my entry, 2."The Club CD", I was awaiting the release of the TV Reality Show "The Club" on CD.

I am interested as to how Paul Oakenfold mixed the music in the album. I know the release date is on February 1, 2005. But I can't wait!! So I was looking for his other recent CD. I searched several CDs from Amazon. So I knew which one is recent one. In Dance section, I found this CD. I knew he mixed U2 song "Beautiful day" ( This song will be in his coming CD, too.). But I didn't know he also remixed Carlos Vives's song "Como Tu".

I was surprised because Carlos Vives is a Colombian singer. I know he is famous. But not too much in US. So that's why I was very surprised and impressed about Paul's wide music knowledge.

This album itself is like modern techno sounds. I expected he mixed more singing songs. But most of songs was instrumental. Even Como Tu.. I didn't recognize until 1st 3 min. because he didn't use singing part a lot. So...Is this... Como Tu??? That's what I thought. That's what I didn't expect.. However it's still good. So that's the club music. Also this CD is good to hear for relaxation too. I know he didn't plan to make it this way.. But his sounds are very relaxing for my mind. I am interested in his mixing skill. How he controlled sounds like that...

hmmm... I can give 4.5 stars for this CD. Why not 5 stars? because I expected he mixed more singing songs. But actually ..not a lot. So that's a drop of 0.5 star.

Less Stress Day

Today, auditors beg me to come work cos they didn't finish their work and they needed my help. Actually so do I. However I am really tired and exhausted. It's really hard. Since December, I've working almost 17 hours per day. I really need a break. And also, since last year, we have really tough time because we are short on people. So many people got sick or had an injury and left office for so long days or months. Plus we are working in the acctg dept. But we don't have enough accountant or person who knows acctg. I always have a hard time teaching the basics of the debit & credit principle. It is unfortunate that people in our acctg dept don't have the working knowledge of it. Of course, I can't handle everything. Even if they really don't know acctg, I have to give them work that really needed to be done. So I train them and give them work as much as I can. Then the next thing is I find out that... they are not doing well. Some of the work.. I ended redoing myself from the beginning... Some of them did it right but... whenever I need these type of person, they are off or got an emergency situation. So it's no help at all.. If they are off, auditors end up coming to me instead. So it's really making me crazy. So I am really exhausted. Since today I knew that the other bosses and some employees will be coming to the office, so the auditors and I made a deal. I will stop by and grab the work they finished. So I will be able to work on those tonite and on Sunday. So at least I can get away from the interruption from the auditors this way. Today is less stress day for me.

Regular Sunday

I am still tired even if I slept more than 10 hours. My wife and her sister went to church. During that time, I woke up. Then first thing I did was.. buy A's fanfest tickets.. After I bought them from internet, my wife called me.. She said to get ready to go out!! We will eat lunch outside.. OK....So I am ready..

We don't want to eat expensive place.. (and my wife didn't want to eat Japanese food even if I know cheap place.). So we decided to go to Vietnamese.

Before we reached Vietnamese restaurant, Chinese restaurant caught our eyes. I ordered food from this restaurant so many times and I like their food. So I recommended that we eat here.

Unfortunately it's past noon time. So it's not a lot of food anymore..Plus they are a little slow. For me, I know they are slow as usual. So I was ok.. However my wife's was getting anxious for their slowness.. I ordered noodle. But my wife and sister didn't order at all cos it's not a lot of food there that time. However suddenly there were more people in the . So my order got really behind.. So my wife was totally upset.. She told them to get the food ready or return money. So we finally got my noodle. Then we decided to go to our original plan, vietnamese restaurant in same shopping center.

They closed today unfortunately... oh no....

Then it can't help.. we decided to go to Buffet restaurant.

This restaurant is always busy from open to close. If it's empty, it's unusual. I don't know why. Food is just ok... not good not bad. They also have sushi, too. But I can't give grade "like-sushi" yet ( see my entry "Like-Sushi" ). Their food is Like-"Like-sushi". I think it's cheap for buffet. So that's why people go there.

Did you notice I eat a lot of broccoli? The reason why I eat a lot because I have weak liver. Broccoli and green beans is good food for a healthy liver. So I try to eat a lot. Of course I am not full yet. But I think it's enough. it's a good lunch.

After we ate, we went to Target. Then her sister found strange toy...It's in clearance section. ( We are looking for good toys for this year's Christmas gift from clearance section. hahaha... )

Cali Girl???? It seems like doll in the box is... boy.. But Cali Girl... So strange.

Almost A's Fanfest 2005!!

Oakland A's Fanfest is coming soon. This year, they scheduled it on 02/12/05(Sat) from 10:00am to 4:00pm. This morning I bought 2 A's fanfest tickets for my wife and myself. We have a chance to get autographs from players,shoot pictures w/ players, and more. The ticket price is $10. The net profits will go to Oakland A's Community Fund and the Cure Autism Now Fundation (CAN). This year, players scheduled to appear are the following.

Last year, we went there first time because a Season ticket holder person gave me 2 tickets. Somehow we were busy in the morning. So we got there around 2pm. So fanfest was almost over. However I still got some autographs. I should bring more baseball that time. So now I learned from last year. I will bring a lot of baseball this year.

I still get a lot, huh? This year, I want to go earlier.. get more autograph. Specially Nick Swisher. That's my minimum target. So let's see...

Worst day

Yesterday was the worst day for me. I've never been busy like this before in my life. On a normal day at work, I usually feel I needed 10 bodies. However yesterday, I felt I needed 20 bodies. That's how busy I was. I really don't like my current work except for one thing. I like to do analization and research work. It's like preparing what I want to write and what I want to say. Yesterday I got these kind of work when I was sooo busy for other things.

I attended one seminar in the evening of 01/19/05. This time the subject is U.S. Economic Outlook for 2005. It's all English speaking and all English resume. So after I attended, I gave this resume to our company's president because he wants to use this info for his speech in pur branch managers' meeting. Then what's happened yesterday? he called me & came to and asked me to translate this one to Japanese... Geeee... I was so crazy busy and no time to do extra work totally. However, unfortunately this work came from the president. I have to translate it for him. Yeah until this moment, I really hated it. But I noticed I have to research more information. So from this point, I really like the work. As I said, this is like writing and it transports me to a writing mode. So in the middle of my busy work, it's really hard to concentrate on the research. I really hate it. Then when I was doing this, I don't know if my other boss did intentionally or not. She called me in her room and she wanted us to do a powow on one thing together.. Of course, I can't think of other things at this point. Even if she tells me something, everything just went thru from right ear to left ear. I just wanted to return to my desk and wanted to continue doing the other thing instead. I was just waiting until she was satisfied (in my mind, let me go.. leave me alone). Then I finally went back to my desk.

I still got so much interruption after that. So most of part, I translated except for one sentence. I know just one sentence. However I noticed I needed to get more information to prove this information is true or not. So that took a while. But I like it. I researched so much data, graph, news, article and economists' opinions. Unfortunately I couldn't prove it. But I was satisfied because I did my research as much as I can. So when I went to work today, I had summarized it completely, and then left the documents on the president's desk.

Just in case, I gave one to my other Japanese boss. After that, I regretted giving the information to him because it's too difficult for him to understand--he is one track minded in a way. If we have a narrow minded boss, we always get hard time. Sometimes when we explain things to other people, it just takes them a few min. to get it, however, this one needs the equivalent of 30 min. ~ 1 hour span to understand because he's so slow to undertand anything out of the ordinary. It just makes me really tired.. He couldn't understand the point, to him, no matter how much I explained, it's so unclear to him.. He couldn't even understand easiest part.. geee... I just don't understand where his mind came from...

Yesterday it's really worst day w/ my favorite things. Then today I had to deal w/ this person. Worst day seemed endless for me....
